VCE.

The Victorian Certificate of Education.

Year 12.

One year.

One year that summarises your entire schooling life.

One year that paves the way for your future.

One year that (supposedly) determines 'how smart' you are, against the rest of the state

One year that can make or break you.

However ridiculous this system may sound, it is the system that governs our education; familiar, yet vague.

Hundreds of hours of study, revision and work are basically condensed into the final end of year examination: if you stuff up, there's no going back.

Unprecedented pressure to perform well in this final year surely has the power to break the motivation of even the toughest students.

Nevertheless, we should be thankful for a place where everyone has an opportunity to determine what their future entails - a luxury missing in many countries around the world.

So maybe the VCE isn't such a bad thing - sure it has many flaws, but...

okay, yeah it sucks.

Well, here's an idea of my ideal system:

the DAN-TER score.

You are ranked in order of

How many different flavours of jellybeans you can name.
The amount of hair products you have used on your hair at any one time.
Your performance on the standardised Narcissist Quiz (click me)
Your ability to quote from Romeo and Juliet at will
How smart you look (note: the use of glasses is strongly encouraged)
Whether or not you support the greatest team of all, Arsenal FC

As you can see, this system is clearly much more efficient, accurate and clear as opposed to the current subjective, disorganised, equivocal and inexact system known as the VCE.

So why don't you sign up now for your DCE Student Number, and enjoy the benefits of a DANTER high achiever like, Me.
(Okay fine, I'm not great at naming jelly bean flavours)

However, I am quite happy with the VCE for my Classics result! I had quite a laugh looking back on my post which apparently dreaded this day... and it's completely NOT sad to make yourself laugh by reading your own work.
Let's just say I beat my conservative prediction of 30. By a fair bit :)

Thank you God, you're awesome.
You know, I managed to do quite well...seeing that my backup plan of spilling toxic waste on my exam paper, thus which would automatically give me a perfect score.

it was the last one (no joke) in store, with 40% off!

macs are soooo coool. no joke.
the design is perfect.
everything else is perfect.

it only has two flaws:
the arrow keys are too small for hc tetrising..
and you can't use msn plus!!
but otherwise (y)!

High School Musical 3!




















The wait is finally over! High School Musical 3. Too bad, I've already seen it ;)
It was awesome!
However,
the story line sucked (no crisis)
it ended too abruptly
and it was too brief!

nevertheless...

the music was awesome
as was the dancing
and so was sharpay ;)

the weird thing was though, the cinema was completely full of girls..
no joke.
not one other guy.

I really need to play with my mac

I am so in love.

Oh yeah..i had a blonde moment yesterday. *sigh.

I missed my bus because i couldn't find my metcard...
I spent like 15-20 minutes rummaging through my bag, wallet and pockets for it...
later to realise..it was in my wallet. =.= (i thought it was something else ><") not funny! i had to wait another hour because of that! xP no really, I'm going to play with my mac now. Haha Bye. Dan13L.
