EMERGENCY RESUSCITATION

CLOSE ONE!
My blog nearly died!

Since February, it has just struck me that I have completely neglected my blog.
I have a blog? wow!

This blog would like to extend its thanks to triplet member James Law for reminding me to blog.

You can probably tell how hectic year 12 has been, given my utter lack of blogging...
on the contrary, my new obsession with Facebook.

In summary, key events from February to now (May).

Australian Business Week
aka. Australian Commerce Nerd Week - an AWESOME (educational, fun, entertaining, stressful, competitive, enlightening, opportunistic, informative, lifechanging) week spent at Deakin in Geelong, with a group of amazing people and staff - at a brilliant program.
Sixty students from sixty schools around Victoria were given the opportunity to compete and cooperate together at this program - one that I will never forget.
Here, each group of ten (GO TEAM CITRUS (orange)) was designated a multimillion dollar organisation, whereby we had to develop a product - market and advertise it, as well as making EDUCATED decisions about the development, pricing, employment associated with it.
Seriously, I've never analysed more Profit and Loss, Cash Flow Statements and Balance Sheets - and the ever tedious process of preparing sales forecasts. However, the pressure was something that made it that much more fun. The Legal component involved our team preparing a case, and presenting it before a judge in the Geelong Magistrates' Court. CITRUS TEAM WON this area, and it was highly rewarding and enjoyable experience.
I will not forget the many friendships that I made at this conference, as well as the loud, catchy and repetitive MAGENTA team chant!

WE ARE MAGENTA,
MIGHTY MAGENTA
COZ WE ARE MENTAL
AND WE ARE MAD
WE ARE THE GREATEST
BUSINESS PEOPLE
THE WORLD HAS EVER HAD!

I'm sure nobody wanted this week to end, but upon conclusion, memories of the past seven days began rushing back:
(don't worry if you don't understand anything below...)
Thanks to everyone for making it such a memorable week!

Now I have my eyes set on the Accounting Midyear exam.
My entire future rests in the hands of this subject.
No pressure..
30 practise exams to go!

TILL NEXT TIME.
IF I DON'T TALK TO YOU SOONER...

REMIND ME TO BLOG!
